Unifi Kenya is recruiting a new marketing generalist who will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance the company's brand presence, drive customer acquisition, and contribute to overall business growth. The ideal candidate must have an eye for detail, a touch of creative genius, be cost conscious, be analytically adept, and lead from the front. Be willing to go the extra mile, work long hours if need be and be very adaptive. A healthy spirit of adventure and sense of humour would be helpful. Travel will be required, both within Kenya and on occasion across borders to visit other Unifi businesses.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic marketing plans aligned with the company's business objectives and growth targets.
- Performance Analysis: Track and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies.
- Digital Marketing: Develop, lead and implement digital advertising strategies across Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, online advertising, SEO, and email marketing to boost brand visibility and lead generation.
- Social media: Plan content and oversee community management to grow visibility and engagement on social media.
- Brand Management: Oversee brand development and ensure consistency across all marketing channels and Build and maintain a strong brand identity that resonates with the target audience. Effectively market our product to drive traffic to our branches and website.
- Traditional Marketing: Develop and execute traditional marketing campaigns, such as print, radio, and TV, to reach a diverse audience and maximize brand Develop compelling messaging and positioning to drive product adoption.
- Client insights: Oversee all aspects of the customer journey, from onboarding in a branch, to their journey on our digital platforms and to ongoing support they receive, to ensure that clients remain satisfied and loyal to the company's products or services.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences. Use insights to refine marketing strategies and enhance product
- Public Relations: Manage public relations efforts to enhance the company's Cultivate relationships with key corporate stakeholders.
- Communications: Develop and implement communication plans aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget Always negotiate for the best price
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing/equivalent as a minimum qualification.
- Proven track record in sales and marketing, with at least 3 years of experience.
- Experience with financial services will be advantageous.
- Experience with online advertising platforms like Google Ads.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Analytical mindset and able to turn data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently, create solutions and collaborate internally and externally.
