About Unifi

Boldly different. Fiercely human. Proudly African.

Unifi is redefining credit in Africa with simple, fast personal loans delivered through online, mobile and branch channels.  We make life easy for millions of clients across Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and Tanzania. Unifi has conviction in the African continent and its people, and our products enable our clients to achieve even more.  As one of the fastest-growing lenders in Africa, we combine exceptional client service with the very best tech and data analytics.

Purpose of the role

The Learning Facilitator is where learning meets the Unifi community. Reporting to the L&D Facilitation Lead, you deliver blended training that builds real skills and changes real behaviour, making sure what is designed actually lands, with energy and impact, every time.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate onboarding, role-based, and capability training using a blended approach (in-person, virtual, and on-the-job) adapting your style to suit the audience every time.
  • Own the learner experience in every session: build connections, drive energy, and make learning something the Unifi community look forward to
  • Listen closely to what is happening at the frontline regularly to understand what is working, what is not, and what the training needs to address
  • Feed practical insight back to the L&D design team and flag what is landing, what is not, and what needs to change before it becomes a problem
  • Track completion, participation, and learner feedback for every session, and use that data to sharpen your delivery
  • Drive completion of online learning modules among your teams, supporting employees to stay current on the LMS and flag where follow-up is needed
  • Own training administration end-to-end: scheduling, attendance, LMS tracking, and stakeholder communication, kept accurate and up to date
  • Ensure a smooth handover from training into the role, working with line managers to confirm people are ready before they step in
  • Lead by example and maintain the Unifi Way in all interactions with business and learners
  • Build the learning culture at Unifi and align to learning at Unifi philosophy
  • Make Unifi a fun place to work!

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Education, Adult Learning, HR, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 2 years of facilitation experience, and facilitated training to diverse audiences
  • Fluent in English
  • Comfortable running in-person, virtual, and blended sessions, and not afraid of the using technology
  • Organised enough to manage a busy training calendar; flexible enough to adapt when it changes
  • Warm, energetic, and client-first attitude you treat every learner with the same dignity we expect our teams to show our clients
  • Resilient and resourceful, with a hands-on approach and no ego about the details.
  • Curious and hungry to grow, you question what isn't working, you look for better ways, and you hold yourself to a higher standard every time you step in front of a room
  • Willing and able to travel within the country as required
